Building relationships that add value to the community by utilizing the experience of caring individuals through high impact volunteer service.
Volunteers for Community Impact (VCI) offers volunteer opportunities through placement in to high-impact volunteer opportunities. These opportunities are focused on addressing critical needs of our Central Florida communities.
Since 1977, Foster Grandparent Program and RSVP have been the organization’s anchor programs. VCI has historically only offered active adults, age 55 and over, volunteer opportunities keeping them engaged and active in their own communities. As VCI continues to evolve, there are now 3 anchor programs, which includes Cyber-Seniors. Throughout 2016 VCI is expanding the VCI Cyber-Seniors program to offer volunteer opportunities throughout Orange County, FL to youth and young adults to teach basic computer skills to mature adults.
All VCI volunteers continue to receive training, support, recognition, and when eligible, mileage, stipend, and are covered by supplementary liability insurance. In fiscal year 2014-2015, volunteers invested over 300,00 hours of volunteer service to the Central Florida community.
