RSVP is in need of a sewing machine to help create Memory Bears for Cornerstone's Bear in Mind Program. The Bear in Mind Program creates special memory bears to help bring healing and comfort to families. These special memory bears can provide a sense of comfort to those who are grieving. The 2019 Seminole County Homeless Veteran Stand Down will be held on October 26, 2019 at the Florida Health Department in Seminole County from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. This Stand Down targets homeless and precariously housed Veterans. A full array of services will be provided by the VA, the Health Department and other service providers, including dental screening, showers, a hot meal, haircuts, VA service officers, suicide prevention, PTSD counselors, Women Veterans counselors, medical evaluations and treatment, flu shots and more.
