Committed Driver Needed to Pick Up Food Donations in St. Cloud Area
January 9 - May 31
The mission of the St. Cloud Community Pantry is to reduce hunger in the St Cloud community by providing food to local residents in need. The only way they can accomplish this is to be able to get the food that is provided through the generosity of our partners and supporters. Local businesses in the area often have food to donate, but cannot deliver it to the pantry. This is why the pantry relies heavily on volunteer drivers who are willing to spend 2-3 hours a week to pick up food directly from businesses and deliver it to the pantry.
Requirements of drivers:
- Need to be consistent on a given time and day.
- Must have a clean driving record
- A year commitment is preferred
The St. Cloud Community Pantry provides the necessary training for each volunteer position. VCI’s part in this opportunity is to provide volunteers who are 55+ with a (free) comprehensive benefits package (inclusive of accident, personal liability and automobile liability insurance, a life Insurance benefit, free workshops and more) during the hours that you volunteer!
