Our new program, MBK, needs help with their graduations! Donate to MBK this Giving Tuesday and help with us purchasing awards, food, drinks, decorations, and more. Whether you can donate $5, $25, or $100, it all adds up and makes their graduation from the program even better. They have accomplished so much and we would love to show them how much they mean to us!
President Obama launched the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Initiative in February 2014 to address persistent opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color and to ensure that all young people realize their full potential. OCPS Superintendent, Dr. Barbara Jenkins, in conjunction with other members of the Council of Great City Schools, has accepted the challenge to support targeted students with the mentorship needed to become college and career ready. Volunteers for Community Impact will take on MBK as one of its programs and recruit volunteers to mentor the boys.
