Every day, across Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia counties, our volunteers show up — for children who need encouragement, and for seniors who need a friend.
Foster Grandparent Program
AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers mentoring children in Head Start and elementary classrooms across Central Florida.
One student shouts, “Grandma, I know all my sight words — I didn’t miss any!” Before, he always misspelled some of his words and would get so angry with himself… This time he was so proud and laughing.Foster Grandparent Volunteer

OTTER Program
Older Teachers Teaching Early Readers — bringing stories to life with songs, puppets, and genuine joy in Head Start classrooms.

Senior Companion Program
AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers providing friendship, support, and connection to isolated older adults throughout the region.
