Dear Volunteers and Community Partners,

As you know two weeks ago on March 16, 2020 Volunteers for Community Impact (VCI) temporarily suspended operations due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Since then, the outbreak has worsened, and current predictions show that the outbreak has yet to peak. Sadly, the worst is yet to come. Our world is facing a threat the likes of which we have not experienced in decades; this is truly a once in a lifetime crisis.  Yet, even while this pandemic sweeps across our country, our volunteers are reaching out to ask us: “I want to help; what can I do?”

While we honor the caring spirit demonstrated with such offers, our answer on how you can best help is to Stay Safe and Stay Healthy.  When this pandemic is over, there will be many left hurting. There will be many people in our Central Florida community who will need your help once this over. The best way you can be ready to help them then is to stay safe now.  Follow the Stay At Home directives put in place by some of our local mayors.  Follow CDC guidelines and best practices, read them here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/

We love our volunteers and we want all of you to stay safe and stay healthy during these trying times. Please take care of yourselves. We are all in this together.

Thank you,

Hue Jacobs
