Become a Foster Grandparent
Volunteer in Central Florida

AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers age 55+ mentor at-risk children in Orlando-area schools
and early education centers — and earn a tax-free stipend for their service.

🟠 Earn a Stipend

Eligible volunteers receive a non-taxable hourly stipend plus mileage reimbursement.

🟠 Make a Real Difference

Mentor children one-on-one in schools, Head Start centers, and Boys & Girls Clubs.

🟠 Benefits Included

Supplemental insurance and ongoing training provided at no cost to you.

AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparents Volunteers serve 15 to 40 hours a week in locations such as schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, daycare centers, Head Start centers, or virtually from home. Each volunteer completes a pre-service orientation and training. Once volunteers are approved and meet certain income guidelines, they will also receive a small stipend for the time they volunteer.  Begin making your impact on Central Florida’s children by filling out this simple volunteer form. Then, together, you and your volunteer coordinator will determine your eligibility for the program and they will answer your questions after reviewing your volunteer form.
